Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Library is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) advocacy organization which supports the library. Our volunteer members advocate, educate, and raise funds on behalf of the Library, its patrons, and the community.

The Friends raise funds to be used by the Library for activities not ordinarily covered under the Library's operating budget since ongoing Library operations are paid for by city and county dollars.

 

The Friends host an annual book sale May-June in the library program room. Donations are accepted at the library during open hours. Below are listed the board members, their length of involvement, and their professional affiliation.

Board members:

Jessica Toneff - President, has been a member since 2019 and assists in her husband's local plumbing company. 

Julie Magee - Vice President, joined the Friends of the Library board in 2022, retired after 22 years working in the school systems.

Paula Winkers - Treasurer/Secretary, has been a member since 2006 and is a substitute teacher. 

Bruce Jefferson - Former President, joined the Friends of the Library board in 2006 and owns a local orchard.   

Cassie Sage - Joined the Friends of the Library board in 2006 and farms locally.
